Hi and welcome to my website. My name is Jarrod Fruge. I started practicing the art of Taxidermy In 2003. I am a member of the Louisiana Taxidermy Association. I have been infatuated with wildlife and hunting for nearly 3 decades. As a child, I can remember looking in the back of the “Outdoor Life” and “Field and Streams” magazines; dreaming of the day that I would be able to attend one of those Taxidermy schools listed in the classifieds but I lived in a rural area and God had other plans for me at that time and I was unable to attend a taxidermy school as early as I wanted.

Years later I killed a very special white tail. I took him to a nearby taxidermist. When I got him back, it was such a poor job that I made up my mind that No Matter What, I was going to learn the art of taxidermy. I started searching on the internet and unknowingly found out that there were some of the greatest taxidermist offering “How To Taxidermy” DVD’s. I gave them a try. From the teaching I learned about TAXIDERMY.NET. Between the DVD teachings, and endless reading on taxidermy.net I was finally able to begin my life long dream in the wildlife art. In March of 2003 I started “Fruge’s Taxidermy Services” with the intentions of becoming the best taxidermist I could be. Since then I’ve devoted a lot of time and energy to my work. I will continue to strive for perfection in everything I mount. Being able to build a career around something I love so dearly is truly a blessing from God. I am proud of my work and hope you will be too.
